MCM/Caveman (Live performance & DJ Set) & Juice Aleem 15/10/11

FGM presents MCM/Caveman (Live performance & DJ Set) & Juice Aleem
MCM originally was the front man for 1990s UK Hip-Hop group Caveman. In the 1990s Caveman gained notoriety for becoming one of the few UK rap acts of that era to have been picked up by a US record label (Profile Records, 1990). Caveman was considered one of the pioneer UK Hip Hop acts of the Golden Age. MCM will be doing a live performance of some of his classic tracks and a taste of new tunes from his 2011 album “The Gospel: The Missing Link Gems Of MCM Caveman (1994-2011)” plus a DJ set.
Supporting Live act: Juice Aleem
After putting years of energy into the Birmingham Hip Hop scene, Juice’s “Ghetto Grammer” Freestyle rap sessions started featuring such other future stars as Ty, Skinnyman and MPHO. In 1996 Will Ashon starts up his new Ninja Tune backed label Big Dada and plans a roster of performers. Ashon is impressed with Aleem’s music and agrees to have him on board. Juice Aleem release “First Lesson” and “Jerusalaam Come” on Big Dada 1n 2009.
Music provided by Turntablist crew A Few Good Men
(Roc 1, Psykhomantus, Rhize) & featuring special guest Miss C Brown (of One’s & Two’s)
